WORLD PILATES Academy offers highly specialised Pilates teacher training courses for those who wish to become Pilates teachers or for teachers who want to improve their skills and reach new levels of professionalism.

Training courses
Basic
Teachers’ BASIC Level Course
The basic level course introduces students to the fundamentals of Pilates. This course provides a solid theoretical and practical foundation, including anatomy and physiology, postural analysis and specific exercises for each piece of equipment.

Basic Course Admission Requirements
Age of majority;
10 individual lessons or 20 group lessons certified at a Pilates Centre;
Professional Curriculum Vitae;
Medical certificate of fitness for non-competitive sports;
Training Path of the Basic Course
Introduction to Pilates: history, principles, benefits;
Anatomy and biomechanics;
Postural analysis;
Basic exercises of Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel, Step Barrel.
Final Exam
After following our Basic Pilates Course, either in Milan or in one of our other locations, in order to take the end-of-course exam you must complete 16 hours of practice-training certified by a Pilates centre, or self-certified if the candidate has Pilates equipment.
You have a maximum of 6 months to take it from the end of the course.
The examination is divided into three parts: written test, oral test and practical test; It takes place over one day.
Structure of the Examination
The examination consists of three main papers:
– Written examination: multiple-choice questionnaire and preparation of training programme for a typical subject.
– Oral examination: discussion of possible incorrect answers of the questionnaire
– Practical examination divided into two phases:
– Teaching of exercises to a person present during the examination
– Personal practice of some exercises
Certification
Upon passing the examination you will be certified as a World Pilates Method Teacher – Basic Level.

Intermediate
Teachers’ INTERMEDIATE Level Course
This course is designed for those who already have a basic knowledge of Pilates and wish to deepen their skills. Intermediate-level exercises are explored on different equipment and methods.

Intermediate Course Admission Requirements
96 hours of practice/training after the basic course within a maximum of 6 months from a Pilates centre or self-certified if in possession of Pilates equipment;
Access for teachers already in possession of Basic Certification issued by other training schools, after evaluation through an entrance test and if necessary, supplemented by further training;
Medical certificate of fitness for non-competitive sports;
Training Path of the Intermediate :
Intermediate level exercises in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel, Step Barrel.
Final Exam

Examinations and Certifications
Prepare to become a Pilates professional:
exam cost: € 180,00
Included in the examination fee are:
– Certification as World Pilates Method Teacher of the level achieved.
– World Pilates® certificate of participation in the course and passing the exams
– National ASI – CONI Diploma valid throughout Italy
– Type B World Pilates/ASI membership card valid for 365 days
– Technical Card, which allows you to be enrolled on the National Instructors’ Register and entitles you to tax benefits for those working with associations.
The card must be renewed every two years.
