Basic Course Admission Requirements

To be of age;

10 individual lessons or 20 group lessons certified at a Pilates Centre;

Professional Curriculum Vitae;

Medical certificate of fitness for non-competitive sports;

Training Path of the Basic Course

Introduction to Pilates: history, principles, benefits;

Anatomy and biomechanics;

Postural analysis;

Basic exercises of Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel, Step Barrel.

Final Exam

After following our Basic Pilates Course, either in Milan or in one of our other locations, in order to take the end-of-course exam you must complete 16 hours of practice-training certified by a Pilates centre, or self-certified if the candidate has Pilates equipment.
You have a maximum of 6 months to take it from the end of the course.

The examination is divided into three parts: written test, oral test and practical test; It takes place over one day.

Structure of the Examination
The examination consists of three main papers:

– Written examination: multiple-choice questionnaire and preparation of training programme for a typical subject.

– Oral examination: discussion of possible incorrect answers of the questionnaire

– Practical examination divided into two phases:
– Teaching of exercises to a person present during the examination
– Personal practice of some exercises

Certification

Upon passing the examination you will be certified as a World Pilates Method Teacher – Basic Level.
